Army National Guard

The National Guard is made up of Citizen Soldiers.  They typically serve one weekend per month and two weeks each year.  These soldiers maintain a normal civilian life, whether as students or with careers and families; however, they may be called to military service when needed.  The National Guard is unique among the Uniformed Services.  It is the oldest branch, tracing its heritage back to the Massachusetts Bay Colony and the establishment of the first militia in 1636.  Because of this lineage, the Guard is the only branch of service with two missions:  the federal mission that takes Guard troops around the world in support of the Army and the traditional mission to our states and communities.  Visit the location in St. Peters at 264 Mid Rivers Center or call 636-278-6088 or go online at www.nationalguard.com.
About the sign:  To bring attention to the recruiting center and fit the sign into the limitations and requirements of the sign regulations, Landmark Sign Company designed a simple, yet distinctive channel letter sign illuminated with bright LED’s.  The traditional individual lighted letters of “NATIONAL GUARD” are accented with a lighted capsule for the word “ARMY” to keep within size and budget constraints yet give the sign eye catching appeal.
